Training
Monica Pokorny holds a newborn bighorn lamb during her stint as a research assistant at the National Bison Range study site.
Over 30 students and recent college graduates have worked as field assistants on Institute research projects. Many have gone on to earn advanced degrees and establish careers in the natural sciences. Similarly, four young adults have served as mentors for children attending Camp Eureka! 2005 and 2006. The Institute benefits from the burst of energy and enthusiasm each assistant and mentor brings to the program while mentors and field assistants benefit from priceless, hands-on experience in real-world settings.
